Gloria Mae Pickens, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt, passed away on March 1, 2012. Born in 1931 in Arkansas. Member of Sagemont Church; former member of Broadway Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, L. D., and her children, Bobby & Patricia Pickens, David Pickens, Gloria & Terry McDaniel, and Mary Pickens. She was a homemaker and great cook, always going the extra mile to help people through cooking. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Spriggs, in 2006. She is survived by one sister, Rosemary Wishnow. She had 7 grandchildren—Chris, Jeremy, Crystal, Misty, Jeni, David, and Paul, 8 great grandchildren—Bailey, Travis, Mackenzie, Madison, Zachary, Noelle, Logan, and Hunter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, March 4, at 1:00-3:30 PM, and Graveside Services will be on Monday, March 5, at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Ernest Weedon officiating.
