Guy Clarence Camp

Guy Clarence Camp at the age of 73 went to be with the Lord, peacefully on April 4th, 2022, at his home in La Porte, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Guy was born August 10th, 1948, in Oklahoma to Elwood Frank Camp and Olivia Sarah Camp. Guy has been the owner of Texas Veteran Roofing and Siding company in La Porte, Texas servicing his community for over 35 years.

Guy was preceded in death by his mother, Olivia Camp, his father, Elwood Camp his brother, Jay Camp, and son-in-law Dion Kirschman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 39 years Carrie Jane Camp; son James Guerrero; daughters and their spouses Stacey Camp and Jorg Spires; Marcey and Bryan Thompson and Darlene Kirschman. His five Granddaughters Bailey; Skye; Laramie; Dalilah; Annie and his Great grandson Noble. He is also survived by his sister Gail Duke, brothers Bobby Camp and Ray Camp, numerous Nieces, Nephews, his beloved dog Pixie and other extended family.

Guy loved the Lord with his whole heart and taught so many about Gods love through basic bible truth classes for several years. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam, he served his country honorably and received many honors including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star, he was a proud Veteran and a true hero. Guy also was a proud Texan; he loved the Astros and the Houston Texans and had a love for the game of golf. His animals were his family and he loved them beyond measure, he spoiled them and had a gift of training them to do the most amazing tricks. Most of all Guy was a loving and loyal husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend he will be missed but always remembered for his love, laughter, and amazing fighting spirit.

In his honor a visitation and celebration of his life will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, April 11, 2022, at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena Texas 77505.

Guy Clarence Camp will be laid to rest Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 12:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston Texas 77038.
