James proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, for six years, as a Combat Engineer and Equipment Record and Parts Specialist in the U.S. and Overseas. He was awarded multiple ribbons, badges, and medals during his service. After the Army, James used his many talents working in multiple industries, such as Carpentry, Civil Construction, and Auto Mechanics, to name a few. He was an excellent Draftsman, Carpenter, Mechanic, Painter, Salesman, and pretty much great at everything he did.
James loved working with his hands and had a passion for tinkering with or fixing things, like broken watches or clocks. He would disassemble one piece-by-piece then put it back together, making it work better than before. He loved listening to music and dancing, playing poker, shooting pool and darts, going camping, boating, fishing, and just simply hanging out with family and friends. He had a good sense of humor and was quite the prankster too. Throughout his life James touched the lives of many with his personal qualities and passions and will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Jacinto and Frances (Lily) Trevino, Paternal Grandparents, Luis and Dolores Trevino, Maternal Grandparents, Jesus and Maria Elena Flores, Brother-in-law, Bruce Gibson, Great Niece, Alana San Miguel, and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
He is survived by a long list of family members, including his siblings, Theresa Baltazar, Jacinto Trevino Jr. and spouse, Marylou Trevino, Raquel Balboa, Angela Cantu and spouse, Victor Cantu, Chavela Cantu and spouse, Louis Cantu, Irene Gibson, Carmen Trevino, Henry Trevino and Partner, Marcy Colunga, Yolanda Pulido and spouse, Joe Pulido, and Alicia Kyle and spouse, Michael Kyle; and many other family members including an Aunt, his Godchildren and numerous other Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and close Family Friends.
