James Kenneth “Ken” Hayes, 71 of Pasadena, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born July 31, 1949 in Huntsville, Texas to James Dugal and Lila (Duke) Hayes. He was a huge sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Houston Astros and the Texans play when he could. He loved camping, listening to 70’s Rock n Roll Music or Old Country. He was a family man who loved watching his grandchildren in their sports activities, especially his granddaughter’s volleyball games; he tried to make them all. He was in the United States Air Force for 4 years and retired from Lyondell-Bassel in 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Emily Bryant Hayes; children, Jaime Hayes and Brian Lawson; Nicholas Hayes and wife, Krystal; grandchildren, Paris Hayes and Finnian Lawson; brother, Larry Hayes and nephew, Tom Hayes. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lila Hayes and brother, Randy Hayes.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00pm until service time. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Hayes and Brian Lawson.
