Jerry Lee Fluker,74 went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2022. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was the patriarch of his family. He served honorably in the Army and was in the Vietnam war where he received two purple hearts. He worked for Upjohn/Dow Chemical for 35 years.
Jerry was a man who spent his life serving others. He was a dedicated and proud firefighter for the Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department for 37 years and was active in his church, volunteering his time with the Awanas. After retiring he enjoyed spending time at home with his family, especially his grandson Desmond, and his dog Pauline. Jerry loved John Wayne, watching westerns, and drinking iced coffee. He spent the later years of his life battling Parkinson's Disease which eventually took his ability to communicate well and to walk, but he always stayed strong and courageous.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his parents, Oran and Vera Fluker, brothers, Bobby and Donald Fluker, and his wife, Rena Faye Ellis Fluker. He is survived by his children, Karen Powell and husband Gonzo, Jerry E. Fluker and wife Lindsey, Angela Dunham and her Fiancé Kenny Keane. His Grandson, Desmond, and his dog Pauline.
