Jesse Chavez Barrios was born on August 20, 1944, in Port Arthur, TX. He settled in Crosby, TX in the 1960’s where he worked as a Lab Technician; and while briefly opening and operating the first subway franchise in Waco, TX in the early 1990’s. Jesse ultimately retired from Lyondell in 2009. His father, Antonio Silva Barrios, and mother, Dorothy Chavez Barrios, preceded Jesse in death. He is survived by his daughter, brother, sister, 6 loving nieces and nephews and 5 great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at Grand View Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
