Born March 15, 1931 in Palestine, Texas to Luther Boyd Scott and Georgia Black Scott. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, daughter-in- law and one grandchild.
Bill served in the United States Army during the Korea Conflict from 1951 to 1953 when he was honorably discharged.
Bill and Juanita Dolores Schwander were united in marriage in the Lutheran Church July 4th, 1953. They became members of Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1954.
Bill was in the employment of Phillips 66 for forty-four years and drove a Hot Shot truck at the same time. Along with Juanita he provided a good loving home for his family.
Bill loved being around his family having his children and grandchildren over to watch movies with him and mom particularly the western movies. He loved to watch Gene Autry, Audie Murphy and of course John (The Duke) Wayne. He loved to work in the yard and took pride in having a neat yard. He also loved to eat and enjoyed a good meal, and he would say “Call me when you want to just don’t call me late for dinner”
Bill is survived by his loving wife Juanita, his four children Jesse M. Scott Jr and wife Shea, Crystal R. Bennett and husband Steve, Mark E. Scott, Angela M. West and husband Glenn. Seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family would like to give our sincerest thanks to Hailey Wilson and Cindy Mangeda for the loving care and compassion they each provided to our dad.
