Celebrating the life of Jesse Dan Williams born on June 30, 1926 in Amite, Louisiana where he lived until he left to serve his country in WW2, 1943. His parents were George W. and Ethel Williams and he was raised by Florence Williams. Jesse attended Chesbrough High School and was the valedictorian out of a class of 7. After graduation, he began a career as B.A.R. Man in Americal Division of Army/Air Force, from October 1944 to June 1946. He attained the rank of Private First Class and received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart during his service. Jesse begin working for Ethyl Corporation in shipping and receiving in 1952 and retired in 1979 after 27 years. Jesse was introduced to the light of his life, Louise, by Dottie and Richard Brown, who were dear friends. Jesse and Louise were married for 60 years, until her death –August 12, 2008. Jesse lived in Houston, Texas and settled in Deer Park, Texas. Jesse was a member of LifeBridge Baptist Church. He was a God fearing man and Jesus Christ was his Lord and Saviour! Jesse was active in the Masons for 70 years and a member of the Disabled American Veterans for 74 years. He enjoyed listening to his tapes for the blind, sports, and his beloved Texas A&M football. He especially loved his family and anything to do with them. He was such a giver and he was so generous and caring towards people. Jesse had a heart of gold! Jesse is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Williams; his birth mother, Ethel Williams; his father, George Williams and step-mother, Florence Williams. He is survived by his son, Bob Williams and wife, Terri Williams; grandson, Chad Williams; granddaughter, Tess Williams (Josh Allen); and great granddaughter, Teegan. Visitation will be on August 8, 2019 from 5:00pm. to 8:00pm. at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. A Celebration of Life service will be on August 9, 2019 at 2:00pm., also at Grand View Funeral Home. Committal service will follow immediately after at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.

I met Mr. Williams through his niece Sharon Langdon Noel . I loved to listen to his stories . He had a hugh heart and was so kind . I will always cherish the time with him . Most of all his laughter , twinkle in his eye and hugs . My love to all the family . Love, Janice Lee
