Jo Ann Darr

Jo Ann Darr, 69, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Robstown, Texas, on December 27, 1955, to the late Roy Henry and Lucille Marie Seiler. Jo Ann graduated from Deer Park High School, class of 1974. She later married the love of her life Richard O. Darr, and together they spent the next forty-five years, raising their family. She made her career as an Electrical Designer working for Dasheill and V.I. Engineering.

Jo Ann pursued many interests, some of which included her love for cooking, playing cards and traveling with her sister-in-laws Cheri, Charla K, Dottie, Denise, Dede, and Sandy. They were fondly known as her traveling buddies. She also enjoyed going on boat rides or just hanging out at home watching Sci-Fi and scary movies. Above all her greatest joy came from attending family events where she would spend quality time with those she loved the most.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal grandparents James Philip and Wanda Fertsch Rohan; her paternal grandparents Louis Ernie and Martha A. Seiler; and her mother-in-law Jo Ann Walker Darr. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her beloved husband Richard Darr, Sr.; her children Richard O’Neil Darr, Jr. and wife Lynn; Jamie Deniene Darr-Hall and husband Joe, Christopher O’Neil Darr, and Nicholas O’Neil Darr and wife Gabby; her grandchildren Roman Joseph Hall and wife Xuan-Duyen Nguyen-Lai, Bryce David Hall, Hunter O’Neil Darr, Mila Jo Darr, and Luci Nichole Darr; her siblings Thomas Ray Seiler and wife Amanda Tara, and Janet Marie Skinner and husband Ronald Joe; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on February 7, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. The funeral service will take place on February 8, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location. A graveside service will follow on February 8, 2025, from 3:45 pm to 4:15 pm at Rosewood Funeral Home, located at 2602 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77396.
