I had the good fortune to meet John as one of the senior instructors at the Texas A&M annual industrial fire school and then later as an Akron Brass sales rep calling on me at work. John was a super guy with a great sense of humor. Alway enjoyed my visits with John and he will truly be missed by our fire school family. RIP Sir. Honor and Respect. 

Everyone who worked with John had a lot fun and enjoyed their time spent with him.

I knew John for around 45 years and not only worked with him at the Texas A&M Fire School every year, but also roomed with him for the last 25 years during the school. He even made the drive to and from College Station a ball. What great memories! We had fun! In fact so much fun that some of it will not be elaborated on. He was a joy to be around.

John and I lived close to each other so we had a lot of lunches and a lot of trips to the gun range. Again, John was a real pleasure to be with.

I loved him and I will miss him.

I met John during our time at the Texas A&M Industrial Fire School. My favorite memories are our conversations and the information he shared during these times.  John has been a great friend and a key contributor to TEEX. It has been an honor to have known him. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

John and I both worked at Arthur Dooley & Son. I first met John when I moved to Houston in 1979. We were both from Louisiana so we had an instant bond.  We had some fun times and late nights back in the old days

John was the true definition of a "people person". Whether you were an old friend or a new  acquaintance, John had the ability to relate to others. And he always made you feel comfortable.

I met John at my first Industrial school in 1976. He was then as he was the last time I saw him-happy, laughing, and ready to get it on. I have been fortunate in my life to meet many people who are dedicated to the business of training those in this business we ourselves are sent here to do-pass on the things we were sent here to do!  Help them to get through their life in this wonderful world we live in.  John was passionate about his ability to that endeavor!
We will all one day meet again in that big world upstairs and celebrate our reunion, in a slightly different manner than we do during our meetings!! Rest in peace John and we await that time to come, not too soon, but the good lord will determine who and when!!

Most did not know that John was from the West Bank of New Orleans.   He was a true South Louisiana  man.  Even though, he lived in Texas - John retained his Mardi Gras personality.   Thanks for the Bon Temps.  Avoir John.

John was a good friend and supporter of the Texas A&M (TEEX) Annual Industrial School for 41 years. I first met John in the early 90’s when I was working on the Houston Ship Channel. He had a kind heart and was a dear friend that we will certainly miss.   Prayers for his family. 

I worked with John at the Industrial Fire School for years.  Being from Pennsylvania and a little younger,  John always looked out for me and was so helpful.  Like you I’ll miss him.  Thank you for sharing John with us.

I first met John around 1973 when he came to work for Arthur Dooley and Son, and we have been friends for over 40 years.  He was a joy to spend time around and I always looked forward to the week we would spend together at the annual Industrial Fire Training School at Texas A&M.   During that week we would share stories about the past year and what we looked forward to in the year to come.  Wether we were enjoying each others company over a meal or at the gun range or simply drinking a cold beer and enjoying a cigar, John always managed to make me laugh.

When it is my time to enter into the spirit world I will head straight to the Bavarian Beer Garden to once again join my old friend and share stories and enjoy a cold beer and cigar!

Rest in peace my friend, and may Melody and Courney and the rest of John's family and friends obtain some solice in the fact that John was loved by all of those people whose lives he touched.
