John Allen Tullos

John was born Sept 19, 1947 to Jim Tullos and Ruthie (Brown) Tullos in Isola MS. He joined the army in 1969 and served in Vietnam. John was a single guy for many years till he met and married his wife Pam Pettigrew March 28, 1987 who survives him at home. He often said she was the light of his life.Then on October 13, 1987 his second light of his life came along his daughter Amanda Lynn(Cannyn) Tullos.

John was very proud of his daughter, getting to see her graduate from High School and attend Sam Houston State University as well as being able to give Amanda away on April 19,2013 to Spencer Philip Cannyn.

He was employed for 26 yrs for Jacobs Field Services as a Crane Operator/Supervisor, where he was well respected and took a genuine interest in supervising and mentoring.

He loved car racing, baseball,fishing and spending time with his family, which also included a daughter dog (Misty) and two granddogs (Laine and Charlie),to whom he was the dog whisperer.

He was a member of the La Porte United Methodist Church.

Survivors also include 3 sisters, Martha England, Stella Knight of Arkansas,Nina Hoke of Tennessee, 2 brothers James Tullos of La Porte, and Walter Tullos of North Carolina. As well as all of his nieces and nephews from his siblings. His Sister In law Tina Airgood, Brother in law Dave Airgood Sr niece Deanna Airgood and nephew Dave Airgood Jr from West Middlesex Pa, Brother in Law of Hermitage Pa Roby Pettigrew. As well as his new family Spencer Cannyn (son in law) and Charlotte Cannyn of Garland,Texas
