Jose Conrado Lopez

Jose C. Lopez, 91, passed away on August 3, 2019. He was born on February 19, 1928 in Brookshire, Texas to parents, Trinidad and Mirabel Lopez. Jose served his country in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952, serving during the Korean war. He attained the rank of SFC and received the Silver Star medal and Purple Heart medal, along with various others.

Jose was married to his loving wife, Eva, for 51 years. They had two daughters, Rosie and Mirabel, and one son, Adam. They resided in Pasadena, Texas where Jose worked as a manager for a plumbing supplies company, retiring after 41 years. He was a member of Saint Pius V Catholic Church. Jose was also active in the Harris County Constable organization, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus, and was a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed going to casinos and shooting a good game of pool.

Jose was predeceased by his wife, Eva Lopez and by his parents and his brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Rosie McJunkin (Steven) and Mirabel Ybarra (Javier) and son, Adam Lopez (Jacqueline) and three grandchildren, Richard, Shannon, and Melanie.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505 on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm., with a Rosary from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 10:00am at Saint Pius V Catholic Church, 824 Main Street, Pasadena, Texas 77506. Committal services will follow immediately at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.

Daddy,
You are now at peace and in Heaven with Mama, your loved ones and with Our Lord. You have been the best Daddy, Father-in-law and Popo/Grandpa ever. Thank you for everything you have done for us. There are so many things we could say but they have already said to you before. We miss you and love you so very much, Daddy. We will all be together again one day in Heaven.
