Juanita F. Rogers died on October 26, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born in Pasadena, Texas on May 30, 1923 where she lived for 83 years. She moved to Deer Park, Texas after the death of her husband to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and John Wells.
She was a member of South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena, a member of First Baptist Church for 59 years, and a member of Second Baptist Church for 7 1/2 years.
She was proceeded in death by her parents A.M. and Bertha Buckner; by her two brothers, R.C. Buckner of Onalaska, Texas and Chester L. Buckner of Hamilton, Ohio; and her husband of 51 years, Coy O'Neil Rogers.
Juanita leaves 4 daughters and their families: Arlene McLaughlin and her children, Wayne Evans and Teri Louviere; Debra Rogers and her children, Daniel and Elizabeth Fry; Gail and Wayne Carlisle and their children, Tiffany, Tommy, and Andrew Carlisle; and Brenda and John Wells and their children, Amanda Boone and husband Joseph and Mitchell and his wife, Chelsea Wells. Her great-grandchildren are James and Robert Cole, and Audrey and Freya Wells. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Isabelle Padgett, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Juanita had a wonderful caregiver on Monday mornings, Denise Gaston. She loved and cared for her so sweetly. She called Denise "her loyal friend." The last two weeks she had a full-time caregiver, Victoria Gayton, who brought blessings to Juanita and her family as Juanita's earthly life ended and her eternal life began.
Visitation will be held at Grandview Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
A Celebration of Juanita's life will be held at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas on October 30, 2019 at 10:00am
Internment to follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
