“Mimi” was born in Clifton, Texas on August 13, 1935, during the Great Depression and was the only child of Walter and Helen Ellison. Judy spent her first birthday living in a hay barn in Colorado while her Daddy worked for the highway department. She graduated from Galena Park High School in 1953 where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Montie “Fuzzy” Fults. They were married on October 16, 1953. Judy and Fuzzy recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary by renewing their wedding vows at their home on Oct. 20th, with their children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Judy was a wife, mother, homemaker, grand and great grandmother. She was a talented A Cappella singer, piano player, seamstress and crafter. Mimi enjoyed playing bridge and Bunco with the ladies and cards and dominoes with her family. She was retired from General Motors and for many years was active and volunteered at her church, Deer Park United Methodist Church.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Montie “Fuzzy” Fults, daughters, Lisa Ruzinok and husband John, Lori Straub and husband Steve, and son, Chris Fults and wife Julie, Grandchildren, Brittany Straub Griffith and husband Bobby, Brooke Straub and Alex Morales, and Sabrina Paige Ruzinok and new Great Grandchild, Aiden Scott Griffith.
Viewing will be held at Grandview Funeral Home on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 5-8pm. The funeral will be held at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 1300 East 13th Street, Deer Park, Texas on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 1:30pm with a graveside service to follow.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations can be made to Deer Park United Methodist “Church Debt”.
