Lois W. Conard, 97 of Pasadena, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 26, 2022, of natural causes. She was born on October 28, 1925, in Canton, North Carolina, to James W. Henson and Clara Pope Henson. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond Conard and her brother Jack Henson. She is survived by her eight children Jack Conard, Carroll Conard, Roger Conard, Becky Edwards, Clara Thompson, Cathy Bannert, Steve Conard and Paula Conard.
After her children were older, Lois was employed by Pasadena ISD and retired after more than twenty years of service as a cafeteria worker. Not one to sit idle, she began a new career as a nanny and worked another twenty years for one family. To Lois, this last job was not really work since she got to love on another family with two children who remain extremely close to her family today. She had a positive impact on everyone who knew her and her prayer room was always open in time of need. Lois was an amazing grandmaw to 19 grand children, great grandmaw to 31, and a great-great grandmaw to 9. Her passion in life was attending church on Sunday, Wednesday and anything available in between. Lois loved serving the Lord, her family and greeting everyone with a hug and a kiss. After the kiss, she would feed you and make sure you had plenty. Lois will be remembered for her unshakeable faith and her uncompromised Christian values. She was truly an example to us all.
Her home going celebration will be held at the Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505 on Sunday, December 4, 2022. The visitation will begin at 1 PM and the service to follow at 2 PM. The internment will be at the Houston National Cemetery on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a love offering may be sent in her memory to the Oak Meadows Community Worship Center, 6105 Allendale Road, Houston, Texas 77017.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearance.
