Lucille Henley, 96 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2026. She was born in El Campo Texas on October 8, 1929 to parents, Charles and Annie Roznovak. Eventually her family moved to Pasadena Texas where she attended Jackson Jr High School and Pasadena High School and was a High School band member and twirler.
After graduation she met and married Wallace Reeves and they welcomed two children, Donald and Jo Beth.
After years of marriage and then divorce Lucille continued her devotion to her children and her commitment to her work as a bookkeeper and office manager. She always supported her children in their academic studies and extracurricular activities.
In the early 1980’s she moved to Deer Park and met Carlos Henley and they began a life together enjoying family, travel and community service. They hosted all the family holidays, explored the country in their travel trailer. They made many lovely friends during their years at the Deer Park Maxwell Adult Center.
Lucille was a member of Sunset United Methodist Church and then later in life joined Deer Park United Methodist Church. Her faith was an important part of who she was and that faith was evident in her strong commitment and bonds to family and friends. She will be remembered as a faithful daughter, mother, aunt and friend. If you needed her she was front and center with all the determination and readiness to step up and “get it done.” She was loyal and faithful to all.
After Carlos’s passed away in March of 2021 Lucille moved to The Woodlands to be with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a staunch supporter of the Astros and Texans and rarely missed a game on I’m I TV,wee her grandson Dan drove her to the casino once a month. She continued her once-a-week visit to her hairdresser and Burger King, and loved getting out visiting her grandchildren, family and friends.
Lucille, was the matriarch of our family and deeply proud of all in her circle of life. She will forever be cherished, our tears will be wiped away by her warm embrace and we will always be the recipient of her loving care.
