Lyle Draper Crawford, 97, of Pasadena Texas born August 28,1923 in Whitesboro ,Texas to Paul F. Crawford and Lois Wells, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 31,2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertrena, of which they were married for 65 years. He is survived by his daughter Collette Burgess and her husband Darry of Alvin, Texas; and son Cody Crawford of Pasadena, Texas; four grandchildren Nacole, Dewayne, Daniel, and Jeremy; and seven great-grandchildren who all loved their Great-Pawpaw very much.

Lyle was a charter member of Thomas Ave and Monument Baptist Churches. He became a Deacon in October 1966 and was a faithful and active servant to the Lord, a fisherman of men. He graduated from Denison High School in 1940 then joined the Navy, from 1942-1946, and was an Aviation metalsmith on Naval aircraft. He then went to Texas Tech and graduated in 1950 with BS in Industrial Engineering.

He moved to Pasadena in 1950 and went to work for Armco Steel as a lead chemist for 31 years and retired in June, 1982. After retiring he enjoyed fixing up bikes for all the neighborhood kids and spending time with his family and going to church.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6th from 5 pm to 8 pm at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 7th at 2 pm in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lyle’s honor may be made to Monument Baptist Church; 3602 East Blvd. Deer Park, Tx. 77536
