

Lystine Grace Fairweather (Tina, Sissy) was born on July 4, 1939 in Clarendon, Jamaica W. I. She was the second of four children born to the late Robertha McClean and Luther Daley. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Fitzroy and Kipling Daley and her half-sister, Kathleen Pink.
Tina received her primary education at the Garlogie All-Age School in Manchester, W.I. Her ambition was to be a nurse and she migrated to London, England in 1956, when she was 16 years of age. She obtained her nursing degree (with honors) from Wanstead University.
She lived in Peckham, London with the Campbells. While in London she met and subsequently married Frank Fairweather in 1963. This union lasted 53 years and produced three children: Samantha, Donna and David. In 1970, the family migrated to the United States of America and took up residence in Queens, New York. Frank and Tina lived in Queens until choosing to retire to Port St. Lucie, Florida.
In New York, Tina advanced to Head Nurse at Booth Memorial Hospital in Flushing, Queens. She worked hard and did an excellent job in her career. She was highly favored and won the respect and friendship of her colleagues.
Mrs. Ruth Hutchinson, a longtime friend, neighbor and coworker, remained a tremendous help and support to Tina and the family throughout her illness.
Tina was very kind, compassionate, loving and caring to everyone – family and strangers alike. Her home was a haven for many travelers. She entertained and treated everyone without impartiality.
She was an active member of the Jensen Beach Church of God where she served as an usher and a member of the Woman’s Ministry department. She was a help wherever she was needed and is greatly missed by her Florida church family.
In April 2015, Tina experienced serious health challenges. She deteriorated rapidly; however, through the midst of her illness she remained strong and courageous. She endured the battle and graced her family with her presence and love until succumbing to her illness on December 15, 2015. She leaves an incredible legacy of warmth, unconditional love, strength and courage.
Tina leaves to cherish her, her husband Frank of 53 years, her three children: Samantha Hughes, Donna Fairweather, David and his wife Marteka Fairweather, six grandchildren: Jevaughn Hughes, Sharlyne and Jenyne Turner, Alonn Lewis, Maximilian and Renee Fairweather, her sister Jacinth Brown and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in the United States, Jamaica, the Caribbean, England, Spain, Europe and Canada.
