Mark was born on September 20th, 1952 to Mildred Cheatham Masters and Norbert Milburn Masters in Pasadena, Texas. After graduating from Pasadena High School in 1970, he went on to graduate magna cum laude at University of Houston.
After graduation, he began a long career in the lumber industry with his first and last employer being South Texas Lumber in Pasadena, Texas.
In 1969, Mark met and fell for his childhood sweetheart, Anita Smith and they wed in 1972. They were married for 49 years, going on to have 2 children, Jeremy and Jennifer Masters.
Mark Masters was predeceased by his father Norbert, his mother Milly, and his brother David Charles. He is survived by his wife Anita Masters, his son Jeremy Masters, daughter-in-law Erika and their daughter Makeda; his daughter Jennifer Masters-Mathis, son-in-law Joshua Mathis; his brother’s widow Donna Anderson Masters, niece Rebekah and her husband Jeff White, their children, Brandon and Ireland; nephew Ryan Matthew Masters and wife Nichole- as well as extended family, friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and an entire community by which he is loved.
