Leon graduated a year early from Pasadena High School in 1944, married his high school sweetheart and went on to join the US Navy to serve his country in both WWII and the Korean War. Once discharged, he went to work for Diamond Shamrock, where he was a foreman and eventually an overseas consultant.
He was known all around for his exceptional work ethic, his precision, his sensibility, and his honesty.
In his free time, if he wasn’t puttering around in the yard or garage, or off on the golf course, he was most certainly down at the American Legion, enjoying a Jack&Coke and a game of dominoes that he would inevitably win.
He is preceded in death by his brother: Sherman; sister: Helen; and three daughters: Debbie, Diane, and Dana; he is survived by his beloved wife Gladys Cooper Fricks; his son Michael Leon Fricks; and daughter Davonne Fricks Hunt; his grandchildren Ricky, Trey, Melissa, Deanna, Heather, Emily, Bradley, Mikey, & Bailey; numerous great-grandchildren; and his beloved cat, Blackie.
Services for Leon Fricks will be held at Grand View Memorial Park on August 21, 2015 at 4:00p.m.
