Mary Lou Jenkins

Mary Lou Jenkins, 88, of Elmwood, Texas entered into eternal rest on January 11, 2018. She was born in Matagorda, Texas on December 9, 1929. Mary Lou graduated from Stephen F. Austin High school in Houston in 1948. She was married to Harry M. Jenkins on November 18, 1949. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 41 years, Harry M. Jenkins and her parents Walter Arthur & Mary Jewel Dacke. Mary Lou had a career as a mother and homemaker and later as a cherished school secretary at JD Parks Elementary for 12 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Pasadena. She had an immense passion for her family, painting, and her beloved pets. She is survived by her three sons Harry Jr. and Wife Lori, Glenn and Wife Kathy and Greg; grandchildren Bryan, Jason, Austin and Tyler Jenkins, Brad and Adam Jenkins, Dana Jenkins and sister Amber Nabors; great grandchildren Delaney, Rylee, Carleigh and Emma Jenkins, Sydney and Lila Jenkins, Dustin, Brantley and Troupe Jenkins, Jaycee and Kaysie Nabors and various special extended family members. A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held Monday, January 15 at 2:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
