Mary was born in Crandall, Texas, on September 25, 1940, at 11:30 p.m. She was the daughter of Martina Velasquez and Pascual Cervantes. After her mother passed away, Mary was raised by her stepmother, Eloise Cervantes, who helped care for her during her childhood. On March 28, 1959, Mary married Enrique P. Lozano in Madill, Oklahoma, beginning a lifelong marriage. Together, they raised six children and built a loving family. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who helped raise many of her grandchildren.
Mary was beautiful, strong, kind, funny, intelligent, caring, and loving, although she could be shy at times.
She always put her family’s needs before her own, and giving back was her love language. She showed her love through the little things she did for others. The sweetest love story began at a movie theater, where she met Enrique while getting snacks. That led to their marriage and the family they built together.
Mary was also known for her honesty, especially about food. If she enjoyed a meal, she would say, “Ta bueno.” If something needed more salt, she would let you know! Her cooking, laughter, and loving nature created memories her family will cherish forever.
Mary also worshipped Jehovah, and her faith was an important part of her life. Her family finds comfort in holding on to the hope that they will be reunited with her one day. Though saying goodbye is painful, they will continue to treasure the love she gave, the example she set, and the memories that will forever connect them to her.
She found so much joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially cooking and sharing her love through food. She was known for her famous fried chicken, homemade tortillas, and delicious Mexican dishes, made with love and care. She also loved going out to restaurants, trying new foods, listening to music, watching her favorite novelas and movies, and enjoying a good shopping trip. These were the little things that made her happy and brought warmth to her life. Through her cooking, her favorite pastimes, and the moments she shared with the people she loved, she created beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by:
Her loving husband, Enrique P. Lozano; children, Mary Ann Ramirez and her husband,
Victor; Jimmy Lozano and his wife, Cynthia; Joey Lozano; Daniel Lozano and his wife,
Rosie; and Stephanie Galvan; and her daughter-in-law, Ana Lozano, wife of the late
Henry Lozano. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Michael, Erica, Eric,
Danielle, Jonathan, Jacob, Lauren, Valarie, Aron, Lysa, Ashley, Natalie, Noey, and
Kimberly, as well as 12 treasured great-grandchildren, who will carry her love and
memory in their hearts for generations to come.
