Mary C. Hand McCain

Mary C. Hand McCain Lee, 85, of Pasadena, TX passed away on May 7, 2011. She was born on April 21, 1926 in Cowetta, OK. She is preceded in death by her son, Joey Boze; parents, Newton P. and Edith Hand; brother, Floyd Hand; husbands, Donald McCain and Forest Lee. She is survived by her son, Eddie Boze and wife Linda of Willis, TX; daughters, Linda Pahl and husband Billy of Pasadena, TX and Donna Sonnenburg and husband Ray of Seabrook, TX; grandchildren, Tracie Hinson, Ricky Boze, Christie Kallus, Jimmy Kallus and Stephanie Humphrey; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Wendell Hand of Lindale, TX and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mary loved her family and the times spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the many gatherings celebrating birthdays, holidays and just being together.

Mary lived in the Pasadena, Deer Park area for the past 83 years and was a Charter member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena where she loved her Sunday school class and all her friends there as well as her Pasadena High School Class of 1943 reunion friends and their monthly lunches at Luby’s.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Miranda Green of Solari Hospice for her loving care of our Mother and to nieces, Carolyn Polumbo and Peggy Bingham and nephew, Butch Hand for their loving support for the family.

We will celebrate her life with a visitation on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Chapel services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Roland Hill Officiating. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Butch Hand, Phil Hand, Ricky Boze, Jimmy Kallus, Hollis Bailey and Eddie Benavidez.
