Michael “Mike” Richard Baswell, 63, of Houston, TX was born on January 27, 1957 and passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020. He was born in Pasadena, TX to parents, Richard J. Baswell and Sandra Wells Baswell.
He attended Deer Park High School, and after graduation proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corp. After his service in the military, he began a career as an Inside Sales Rep. Among his greatest accomplishments and source of absolute joy were his beautiful daughters, Haylee and Randi, and granddaughter, Charlee.
Michael loved music. He always had music going on his stereo, and enjoyed listening to music by Jimmy Buffet, Merle Haggard, and much, much more. His passion for music was not limited to only listening, but also jamming on the harmonica, Michael played harmonica with the Hanna’s Reef Band.
In his spare time, Michael loved fishing and being in the outdoors. Michael was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a great cook, and loved cooking for others to enjoy. His most favorite thing to do was spend time with his daughters and shined with pride over his granddaughter. He adored and was adored by his daughters and had many friends.
Michael loved his family and was always there if they needed anything. He loved spending time with his friends, just enjoying life! He was always the life of the party. He was so funny and so much fun to be around! He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Baswell; mother, Sandra R. Baswell; and brother, Randy Baswell.
He is survived by his daughters, Haylee Baswell (Tyler) and Randi Baswell (Brady); granddaughter, Charlee Morren; sister, Vicki Woodward (James); nephews, Eric Baswell and Mason Baswell ; ex-wife and lifelong friend, Cindy Baswell, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many lifelong friends.
