Michael Anthony Dominguez, 42 of Deer Park, Texas was born February 27, 1980 in Pasadena, Texas to Aurelio and Lydia (Gonzales) Dominguez and passed away on April 22, 2022. He attended Deer Park High School and graduated in 1998. He was a “big kid”, always young at heart, very kind and sweet, a very gentle soul. He had multiple nicknames and was often referred to as Mikey, Big Mike, a big teddy bear, man mountain and gentle giant. He loved everyone and always thought of others before himself. He loved his family and spoiling his niece and nephews. Michael’s sense of humor was infectious, and he loved to laugh.
Michael enjoyed fishing with his dad, listening to rock music, playing the guitar and reading. He cherished his time spent with his family going on vacations and camping. He, much like his older brother Johnny, was an avid Star Wars collector. He also loved cartoons and quoting movie lines. He loved watching his favorite hometown teams the Astros and the Texans.
He is survived by his loving parents, Aurelio and Lydia Dominguez; sister, Melissa Puckett and husband, Daniel; nephews, Jacob Puckett, Kaden Dominguez and Jace Dominguez; niece, Ava Puckett along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his brother, Johnny Dominguez.
Michael would want everyone to keep his fun spirit alive and in remembrance, leave with this parting poem-Until We Meet Again:
I’m writing this from Heaven, where I dwell with God above. I am resting here with angels, who surround me now with love. But though I may seem far away, we will never truly part. For part of me lives on with you, forever in your heart.
Funeral services will be held 10:30am, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Grand View Funeral Home with burial following at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales, Daniel Puckett, Robert Griffin, Roy Benavides with Jesse Garcia Senior and Jesse Garcia Jr serving as honorary pallbearers.
