

Michael Ross Kyzer of Deer Park passed away on August 18, 2026 at the age of 65. He was born in Houston, Texas on April 9, 1961 to the late Earnest and Lawanda Dennis Kyzer. Michael graduated from Galena Park High School and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1979-1983, during which time he served as a Staff Sergeant in England. He married the love of his life, Kimberly Welborn, on October 27, 1983.
He worked at LyondellBasell Houston Technology Center and loved his many friends and coworkers there, as well as being a faithful member of Monument Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason and belonged to Jewett Masonic Lodge #427. He loved music and had a gift for playing a multitude of instruments, as well as arranging music and singing bass. He was a proud member of The Liberty Opry on the Square Band for many years. Some of his favorite hobbies included hosting crawfish boils and watching the Astros. He was a master chef in the eyes of his grandchildren, and always enjoyed cooking their favorite meals. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who demonstrated a life of hard work and integrity.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kim Kirsch. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Kyzer, daughter Stephanie Nabors and husband Dustin, daughter Kayla Hinson and husband Kevin, and son Jedidiah Ross Kyzer. Grandchildren Luke Glen Hinson, Olivia Eleanor Nabors, Lilly Michaela Hinson, and Scarlett Elizabeth Nabors.
Pallbearers will be Jedidiah Kyzer, Dustin Nabors, Kevin Hinson, Nathan King, Robert Walker, Jeremy Yeatts, Joshua Ridings, and Todd Gentile. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Ridings and all coworkers at LyondellBasell HTC.
