

Michelle Munsell was born September 5,1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Major William P. Munsell and Rochelle (Freeman) Munsell. After living in Biloxi, Mississippi, with her family while her father finished his service in the US Air Force, she moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1971, where her father established his medical practice. She moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma, in 1975, where her mother started her career with Conoco. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1981 and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1986 with a BS degree in Education.
In 1986 she accepted a teaching position in Pasadena, Texas, and lived in the Clear Lake area. She taught second grade at Meador Elementary from 1986 to 1999. She taught reading to dyslexic students at multiple PISD elementary schools with Teague Elementary as her base from 1999 until she retired in 2016.
In 1987, she met her future husband and love of her life, Lee Norville. After two years of friendship, they began dating and fell in love in September of 1989, and were married June 22, 1991. They settled in Pasadena, Texas, and had two sons, Anthony in 1994 and Michael in 1996.
A wonderful, devoted mother, she was immersed in her boys’ activities, including soccer, baseball, football, basketball, cross country, and martial arts. She proudly witnessed both graduating from Texas A&M University. She was always so proud of her boys. She enjoyed dancing, music, attending concerts, traveling, dining out, floating hill country rivers, spending weekends at the family’s country places, training and cuddling her dogs and grand-dogs. She loved to be in the kitchen and was an excellent cook. She collected and improved hundreds of recipes. Her lasagna, spaghetti, and French fries were renowned among her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a member of First United Methodist church in Pasadena. She enjoyed visiting with and loved her neighbors on Wilbury Heights.
Her last eight years brought multiple serious illnesses, numerous hospitalizations, and a debilitating spinal injury. She left this world to walk with the Lord in eternal life on June 7, 2025, surrounded by loving family.
She is preceded in death by her father, William P. Munsell and her mother Rochelle Munsell. She is survived by her husband, Lee Norville of Pasadena, son Anthony Norville of Austin, son Michael Norville of Houston, father-in-law Bill Norville and mother-in-law Dorethea Norville of Pasadena, step mother Shari Terrell of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, sister Terie Rixman and her husband Jack Woodley of Hull, Massachusetts, sister Karen Corff of Noble, Oklahoma, brother Bill Munsell and his wife Rhonda of Norman, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Sarah Ludeke and husband Mike, nieces Monica Swinney, Sarah Munsell and Isla Swinney, nephews Jonathan Rixman, Aden Ludeke, Jacob Rixman, Caleb Rixman and Freeman Munsell, numerous cousins, friends, neighbors, and grand-dogs Jane and Marty.
