Mildred Beatrice Cooley Berry

Mildred Beatrice Berry passed Thursday April 18, 2013 at her residence in LaPorte, Texas. Mildred was born April 15, 1925 in Pocahontas Arkansas to parents Will and Myrtis Cooley. A former resident of New Port, Arkansas, Mildred and her husband Homer Stanley Berry moved to LaPorte in 1951. After raising four children, Mildred pursued her dream in becoming a business owner, opening and operating “The Clothes Hanger” in Deer Park for 30 years. After retirement Mildred occupied her time enjoying family. Mildred also enjoyed crossword puzzles, listening to music and staying current in pop culture.

Mildred preceded in death by her husband Homer Stanley and daughter Joyce Diane and is survived by her children Jerry Berry and wife Charlotte, Margaret Brannen, Debbie Tarpey & husband Jerome, and Sharon Berry. Grandchildren, Kristi Huff & husband Allen, John Berry, April Crone and husband Travis, and Lee Tarpey. Great Grandchildren, Conner Berry, Austin Crone, Erika Morgan & husband Jacob, Allison Manry & husband Blaine, Erik Allen Roberson and Ava Rose Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Grand View Memorial Park. Online memorial tributes may be placed at www.grandviewfunerals.com
