

Mildred (Millie Alice Hebert, a beloved and devoted daughter, wife, and mother passed away on November 17, 2025, at 11:25 P.M. at the age of 81. Mildred was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on April 28, 1944, and was a resident of Deer Park, Texas.
Millie was a graduate of McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA) and dedicated her professional life to Shell Chemical Company as a lab supervisor for 30+ years. She previously served as a lab technician at Baylor and Rice Universities, as well as 8 years as a Pasadena ISD substitute teacher. Her commitment and leadership left a lasting impact on her colleagues and many different organizations. In her spare time, she loved spending time with family, working out, gardening, and traveling. She spent her retirement years loving on her grandchildren, working out, traveling, gardening, and shopping. She loved working in her yard and making sure that each flower bed looked beautiful. She also enjoyed her regular workouts at the gym and home. She loved to travel and went on may trips around the world to places like Canada, Alaska, Nova Scotia, England, France, Italy, the Greek Isles, the Mediterranean area, the Pacific Isles, Honduras, Netherlands, Beliz, Cozumel, Cancun, Africa, Spain, Russia, China, Germany, Austria, and all over the U.S. She loved the Lord, the history of, and the beauty of the cathedrals around the world she got to visit on her travels.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank Hans Hannum and Evelyn Shirley Barron Hannum, a sister, Rita Gayle Hannum Franks, and husband, Joseph Raleigh Hebert.
Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years, Terry Franks; daughter Lara Hebert McPhaul (John); siblings Everett Hannum (Carolyn) and Rena LeJeune (Wendell); a host of nieces and nephews: Alicia Sittig (Kenny), Christine Brown (Milton), Trevor Hannum, Greg Addison, Allison Franks, and Heather Elsik (Gary); as well as the apples of her eyes - grandchildren: Daniel McPhaul, Elizabeth McPhaul, Abby McPhaul, Trinity McPhaul, Luke McPhaul, Connor Franks, Chandler Franks, Spencer Lukasik, and Skylar Lukasik.
Millie's presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, on December 5, 2025 (private family) from 4-7 P.M. and on December 6,2025, from 9-10 A.M., with a Celebration of Life to begin at 10 A.M. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at Sterling White Cemetery, located at 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas.
