Mildred is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Darris J. Slaven; mother, Velma Ammons ; father, Oriel Ammons; brother, Clifford Ammons; and sister, Theresa Reeves.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Slaven and wife Melba of Pasadena, Bruce Slaven and wife Jean Ann of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, and Glenn H. Slaven and wife Cathy of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Glenn E. Slaven and wife Erin, Andrew Slaven and wife Elizabeth, Wendy Clark and husband Nolan, Gail Setliff and husband Matthew, and Shannon Hickle; and great grandchildren, Katie Slaven, Blake, Kaitlyn and Troy Guidry, Karsyn and Coleman Clark, and Kegan, Tyson, Bentley and Ruger Setliff. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 11:30am to 12:30pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:30pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
