Norma Gibbs

Norma Etoil Gibbs (Scroggins) passed away on June 20, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She was born on January 23, 1952 to Elton and Dorothy Scroggins in Houston, Texas. Norma was a math educator. She was adored by many of her students, because of the passion that she showed for them. She loved her children greatly, enjoyed life by spending time going dancing and on cruises and spending time with Judy. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Dorothy Scroggins.

She is survived by sister and best friend Judy De Souza ; sister, Glenda Ward and sister, Mildred Redden and children; Kristie Brice, husband Bradley of La Porte, TX; Craig Gibbs, wife Marissa of La Porte, Texas, Melissa Lucas, husband Sean of Deer Park, Texas and Matthew Gibbs, wife Amanda of La Porte, Texas. She also leaves to cherish many memories her grandchildren: Katelyn, Ryan, Maya, Caleb, Zoe, Sydra, Lilly, Madisyn, Harlee, Raymond, Hadley, Olivia, Abigayle, and Sophia.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27th at San Jacinto Baptist Church at 9:00AM. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00AM. There will be a gathering in Nacogdoches, Texas at 1:00PM on Wednesday, June 28 at Cason Monk Funeral Home located at 5400 North Street Nacogdoches, Texas 75965. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches, Texas.
