Patricia Kay Gent, lovingly known to most as “Kay”, 71, of Deer Park, Texas, entered eternal life on Sunday, July 24, 2016. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor Kay’s life at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 in the chapel of Grandview Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena. A private graveside service for the family will be held at South Park Cemetery.
Kay was born on October 22, 1944 in Houston, Texas to the late, Dovie Black and Alvin “Ben” Gibert. She is also preceded in death by her grandmother, Maggie Thompson; her sister, Dolores Bartuska; and niece, Denise Bartuska. Kay was incredibly creative and artistic; with her talent she inspired her family and friends to use their imaginations. She had a kind and caring heart and a good sense of humor. Family came first to Kay, and she loved her husband, daughter and grandchildren more than life itself. She will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
Her spirit is carried on by her husband of over 53 years, Edward Brackey Gent; her daughter, Amber Kristin Gent-Harville and son-in-law Jim Harville, her beloved grandchildren, Isabel Kay Harville and Ty Joseph Harville; her step father, Frank W. Black and wife Betty; nephews, Gary and Terry Bartuska; along with numerous other loving friends.
