I carpooled with Pat when we were student teachers in the Galena Park school district.  Pat was a joy to have as a friend, and our lives had many parallels such as teaching, starting families, and raising them.  Our condolences to Brad and family, Mrs. Thenemann, Charlotte, Donna and their family and friends. We know that she made a positive impact on the parents and students that she encountered at PISD and all the schools where she served, and she will be greatly missed.

Brad & family, my thoughts and prayers are with you! Your dad and I were best friends in high school. Riding around in your grandparents Oldsmobile,playing Patsy Cline on the stereo and we went to prom at the Rice Hotel Houston,double dating.your mom was great! Patty and Charlotte lived right across the street from me during my teen years and into young adulthood.  I knew Charlotte best, she played the French horn in Robert E. Lee High School band, but Patty was always somewhere nearby.  Great mom and dad.  That was a very nice family, too bad the neighborhood lost so many nice families. --- Joe Atkins (Baytown, TX)

My prayers are with the family.  I was lucky to be elementary friends with Patty at David G Burnett. Enjoying her album of photos,I see where I missed knowing her better through out our junior and senior high school years since we had to move from Baytown.  God Blessed us with friends that we think of many times even though was not able to visit.  I know that I will see her again one day and be able to laugh and enjoy our time together.  She is with the Lord playing beautiful music for all to hear.

Pat was at Teague Elementary when I began teaching there, first as a sub, then as a intern teacher. She, along with the excellent faculty there, taught me how to teach, and demanded the highest standards from me, and all of us there. I will always respect and admire her for that. The students' education and benefit ALWAYS came first, as  they should, but Pat also showed and demanded respect for the faculty as well. Her good humor and professionalism made a huge impact on the school. She was my boss and my friend. I am so sad she has passed on, but so thankful her suffering is over. Brad, Shannon, and Maura, I am grateful to have had Pat in my life, and the lives of so many blessed children!

Pat was my first Assistant Principal under Principal John Steel.  She was exceptional!  I was a student teacher and then first year teacher under her helm.  I learned so much from her regarding discipline and understanding children.  I haven't seen her in years, but I'll never forget her.  My deepest condolences to her family.

I knew Pat well.  We attended many professional meetings together.  She had a great sense of humor.  I wish I had known about her musical ability.  My sympathies to her family of whom she was very proud.

Pat was assistant principal at Reid Elementary when I worked with her.  She was delightful, professional, personable and just a lovely lady.  What a gift she was to education.

We are so saddened and shocked to learn of Pat's passing.  I had spoken with her a while back and she was feeling so much better than before the transplant, and was excited about feeling up to getting out and about more.  Pat and Johnnie were great next-door neighbors for many years.    Even after we moved away, I enjoyed our phone conversations, and her stories of all the cute things that Maura was doing.   I know that Pat will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pat was a dear friend, two years ago we shared pictures of our granddaughters. She will be missed! I will hold on to those memories and times we shared together!    Mable Pratt of LaMarque.

It was a privilege to work at Teague Elementary with Pat. First she was my boss, then my friend. I will miss her. My condolences to her family.

Pat was a dear friend and although I so saddened by her passing - I am glad that she no longer is suffering. We spent many hours watching her favorite tv shows and many sports/game broadcasts and lately reminisced about our children growing up and wondering where the time went. We talked about our faith, our dreams and family (including our pets). We were colleagues but more importantly, we were friends. I will miss Pat.

Pat was a remarkable principal.  I was blessed with the opportunity to work with her at Teague Elementary.  She will be missed.

I worked with Pat many years ago and she was one of those women you never forget.  She loved to laugh and was a wonderful and compassionate boss as well as a friend.  I have not seen her in years, but this picture is how I remember her.  My condolences to all of her family and friends.

Loving Father, welcome home your child, Patricia Lee Rogers whose courageous battle following a double lung transplant has ended. I did not know Mrs. Rogers personally, but both my daughters went through Teague Elementary. I want to thank her for giving her time and resources to make a difference in the young lives she touched during those years. Most educators do not see the full impact they make on young people. Thank you for your dedication and love for students.

Brad, I was saddened today to hear of your Mother's passing. I worked with your Mother several years at Reid Elementary in La Porte where she was highly respected, admired, and loved.
