I just learned of Paul's passing. He's a longtime friend. He will be missed by many. The years I was in business in South Houston, it was a comfort to know he was only a phone call away. He always had an open mind and good advice. We had lots of laughs, and lots of fun during the Rodeo and cookoff days. I will miss his smile and sinse of humor. I never thought of him passing, He was supposed to live forever. Now he's gone,but will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Paul.

For the Little time I knew this man, I had love for him. He is a great Man and has a wonderful family.He shall be missed until we are united again..

It is a rare thing that a "boss" can also be a "friend". Paul was every bit of that and more.

Firm but always Fair! May his family be swaddled in Peace, Prosperity and Grace.

So sorry to hear about Paul.  It was an honor and pleasure to have fished with Paul as a member of the South Houston Bass Club.  My thoughts and prayers are with Paul and his family and friends.

There are so many things I want to say to family and friends of Paul, but of course all of you know what a kind and thoughtful man he was.  I have many fond memories that I will always cherish.  I pray for his family every day.  I'll miss him beside me at the coffee table before we went out hunting.  Sitting down and talking before our long day always made the day even more than it really was.  He always had that affect on people, he made the day better.  And somewhere through the day someone did something stupid to make the other laugh.  Everyday I think of those stupid things and still laugh, and that's important.

He was the Best Chief of Police of South Houston, of that Era! My Condolences to the Brookover Family! My Father, Mayor of South Houston  thought the world of him!  With Much Admiration, George Christy, Jr.
