Peggy Darington, age 91, of Cove, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born in Humble, Texas on July 22, 1932 to Vernon and Edna Crockett. She was married to Thomas R. Barry for 47 years and Jack Darington for 10 years. Peggy worked for Spencer Animal Hospital since inception, then she worked at and retired from TDC - Huntsville. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Past 6899 Auxiliary and Associate Member of the AGSM Greater SE Texas Chapter and had a passion for service to Veterans and fun with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Thomas R Barry and Jack Darington, her parents Vernon and Edna Crockett, brother Kenneth Crockett, sister Dutchie Willies, son-in-law Jerry Guy, grandson Stephen Gastineau, granddaughter Debra Briscoe, great grandson Austin Briscoe and grandson HMI Kristofer Guy.
She is survived by daughters Sherry Guy, Kathy Westcott (Dave), Dicky Barry (Elvie), grandchildren Charla Gastineau, Conni Guy, Craig Moore, Jenny Heckathorn (Joseph), Angie House (Josh), Daniel Westcott, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, Hollie (Vic), CJ, Cole, Carter, Gehrig, Sofia, Khristian, Kailyn, Cain, Kadence, Jacklynn, Vance, Michaela, and Kade.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
