Peggy Sue Tanner

Peggy Sue Tanner, born March 27, 1942, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was rooted in faith, family, and love.

Peggy was a longtime resident of her community, having lived there since 1960. She was a proud member of the Baptist faith and attended Creekmont Baptist Church in La Porte, Texas. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was a source of strength and comfort to her and those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dalton Eugene Tanner, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years of marriage; her daughter, Sheila Tanner Hatfield; her parents, Stella Cobb and Jesse Cobb; and her brothers, Harold Cobb, Nathan Joe Cobb, J.B. Cobb, Floyd Cobb, Roy Lee Cobb, and Jesse Raymond Cobb.

Peggy is survived by her loving family. She leaves behind her cherished daughters: Teresa LeBlanc; Shelly Tanner; and Trish Bailey (Chad).

She was a proud grandmother to Samantha Finnen (Taylor), Synthia Kinnard (Dylan), Eric LeBlanc (Taylor), Matt LeBlanc (Kaitlyn), Tori Hatfield, Taylor Bailey Mclain (Christian), and Tanner Bailey, along with additional great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Peggy will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering love for her family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She had a deep love for cooking, sewing, and teaching Sunday school, sharing her talents and faith with those around her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched.

Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, US, on April 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will take place at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505, US, on April 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
