Phyllis Mae Smith, 78, passed Thursday, September 22, 2011. She was born April 15, 1933 in Houston. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mickey; parents, Rudy and Gertrude Lassen; and eight siblings. Phyllis is survived by her brother, David Lassen and wife Patricia; daughter, Kathleen Boren and husband Jim; son, Billy Smith; daughter, Nancy Gumm and husband Shannon; daughter, Susan Williams; and son, Randy Smith and wife Susan. Phyllis is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and numerous relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 26, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Chapel services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
