Ramon Carl Hurst

Ramon Carl Hurst, 68, passed away on October 9, 2013 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on December 15, 1944 in Waco, Texas to Ramon A. Hurst and Mary Maxine Temples-Hurst. Ramon was a graduate of Waco High School, and served his country in the United States Navy receiving a Vietnam Service Medal. He retired from K-Mart and was a member of the Faithful Followers at South Main Baptist Church. Ramon will be remembered as a good son, husband, and father.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Maxine. He is survived by his wife, Sarah E. Hurst; children, Michael and Sharon Hurst, Steve and Kelly Hurst, James and Catherine Wise; brother, Gary Hurst; sister, Katherine and Eddie Bock; grandchildren, Ava, Elijah, Eliana, and Ethan.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Grand View Funeral Home on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 E. Sam Houston Pkwy. S. Pasadena, TX 77505, on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:30 a.m., Dr. Ron Lyles, officiating. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m., preceding the memorial service.

In lieu of usual remembrances, donations in memory of Ramon may be made to the Pasadena Community Ministry food pantry, 2301 South Houston Rd. Pasadena, TX 77502
