Ray W. Hand passed away on April 6, 2010 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on June 16, 1926 in Butler, Alabama to the union of John Martin Hand and Flora Bell Norton-Hand. Ray is a veteran of the United States Navy and has been a resident of Pasadena for the past 55 years. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Mary Frances Griffin and Anna Bell Ikner. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years, Von Hand; children, Dale Hand and wife Kay, Holly Odom and husband Buddy, Carl Hand and wife Connie; 6 grandchildren, Kristie, Dale, II, Fallon, Jared, Tiffany, and Stacy; 7 great grandchildren, Janessa, Emily, Ethan, Tyler, Kayle, Raegan, and Abigail; 1 brother, Frank Hand; 1 sister, Jeanette Smith.
The family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 9, 2010 in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Brewer and Reverend Jim Overton officiating. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
