Richard Garza Flores

Richard Garza Flores, 56 of La Porte, Texas was born October 21, 1964 in East Bernard to Alfred and Aurora (Garza) Flores and passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. He was a great father to his 2 sons, Matthew and Richard; he enjoyed helping others. He was the family jokester and loved to mess with his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed family BBQ’s, fishing, playing golf, enjoyed drinking a beer or two and boating, he was the best captain the family ever had. He loved animals and was a very patient person.

He also enjoyed his time off watching movies and eating popcorn. He worked as the Circulation Manager for the Houston Chronicle he was described by his friends there as a great co-worker and amazing friend who made work fun on a daily basis.

He is survived by his sons; Matthew Flores and Richard Flores; brothers, Robert Flores, Raul Flores, Jesse Flores and wife, Marisol along with Alfred Flores; sisters, Jessica Flores and Ruby Flores along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Aurora Flores.

Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home with services following at 2:00pm.
