Rip Lee McQuitty, age 63, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born in Los Angeles on September 5, 1959 to Patsy Duncan and Loyal McQuitty. He was married to Robin McQuitty for 7 years.
Rip retired after 20 years in the USN. Most recently working for UPI as an electrical designer. He was a Life Member of VFW, NRA and HLSR. He had a passion for his family, friends, hunting, fishing, guns, camping, golf, baseball, football, hockey, and horseback riding.
He was preceded in death by his mother Patsy Duncan, Father Loyal McQuitty and Daughter Bryena McQuitty.
He is survived by his wife Robin McQuitty, step-son Tony Kickertz and his wife Kim and their three children Kayla, Hannah, and Trevor, step-daughter Aubrey Miller and her husband Travis and their two children Cambrie and Slade, brother Rick Anthony and nephew Alex Anthony, son Justin McQuitty, daughter Krista-Poteete and her husband and three children. As well as many friends and his puppies Thunder and Dakota.
A visitation for Rip will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Pkwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Followed by a funeral service Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7500 Fairmont Pkwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
