Raised in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota for 19 years. Graduated from Henry High School, in North Minneapolis in 1975. Enjoyed many sports; baseball, football, basketball, track, cross country running, skiing, canoeing, hunting, fishing, swimming.
Worked numerous jobs; paperboy, dishwasher, stock boy, merchandiser, ice cream scooper, bicycle shop helper, hardware store helper, farm hand.
Served 4 years in the Marine Corps from June 1975 to June 1979. Worked around helicopter squadrons in the maintenance operation of log books and records.
Seen no battles serving my time. Was stationed in Santa Ana, California. Okinawa, Japan. Jacksonville, North Carolina.
I have been on Helicopter Carrier training to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands twice while in Jacksonville, N. Carolina. When in Okinawa, I was able to go to South Korea near the DMZ for RR (rest and relaxation) with fellow Marines.
Went to Pilsbury Baptist Bible College, Owattona, Minnesota for one semester in the fall of 1979. I then moved to Houston Texas in 1980. I have accumulated some 20 to 30 hrs college education at San Jacinto College in Texas, but no degree.
