

Santos Villalon Sr., born on July 6, 1945, in Villa de Santiago, Nuevo León, passed away on January 26, 2025, in Pasadena, Texas, after a long battle with cancer. He was the cherished son of Epigmenio Villalon and Virginia Gonzalez. Santos was a devoted son, brother, and father figure who ensured his mother and siblings were always cared for. His unwavering dedication to his family left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Santos was one of the founding members of Logia Liberación No. 9 Del Gran Oriente of Houston, TX, established in 1980. He took great pride in being part of the organization. Outside of his Masonic duties, Santos also had a deep passion for barbecuing, often delighting in preparing meals for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Epigmenio and Virginia Villalon, as well as his brother and best friend, Guadalupe Villalon.
Santos is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Matiana; his children Ann (Jaime) Rojas, Santos Jr. (Edith) Villalon, Javier (Heather) Villalon, and Rick (Jennifer) Villalon; and his grandchildren Brianna Rojas, Julian Rojas, Celeste Villalon, Solei Villalon, Ethan Villalon, Evan Villalon, Sascha Villalon, Joaquin Villalon, Ricky Villalon, and Alayna Villalon. He is also survived by his brother Ambrosio Villalon; sisters Juany Gamboa (Javier) and Maricela Villalon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Santos’s legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
