She is survived by husband, Ricky Bennett, children Frank (wife, Suzanne) and Brian Bennett, brother Mike Hale (wife, Sina), mother-in-law Ressie Bennett, sisters-in-law Kay Hale (Bob), Johnnie Gaskill (husband, Mike), Pam Valle (husband, Augustine), Angela Smith (husband, Guary), 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Hale, Sr., her mother, Dolly, her mom, Ruby and brother Bob Hale.
After attending Sam Rayburn High School, Paulette continued her education to become an LVN. She worked many years in home health care, caring for those with respirator dependency. She spent much time and energy working with the Texas Chapter of the ALS Association, walking many miles to encourage others and promote their cause.
She was a long-time member of Elim Church where her father pastored for many years. She shared her love with the members of Life House Church as well, often going to both houses of worship in a day. Her beautiful singing voice was enjoyed by both congregations. She was one of a trio of ladies that often performed at functions, Christian and secular.
Paulette loved to be active. To that end she participated in Bunko, Ladies Night Out, Kings Daughters and anything else she could. She made strangers into life-long friends and invested time and energy into her relationships, making each one special. She loved her family fiercely and adored her grandchildren. No thrift store was safe and no garage sale could be passed up until she had made sure there was no treasure to be had.
Paulette is loved and will be missed by all of us that knew her.
