Suzanne Doris Zeller Litton, better known as Sue, 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. She was born on November 24, 1933 in Frankfort, PA. The 4th of 5 daughters born to John Gartner Zeller and Marie Bienztel Zeller. Having lost her father as a young girl she grew up in an all female house with her sisters, mother, and grandmother. She often recalled happy memories of life growing up in Philadelphia with her sisters. Some of her happiest childhood memories included going to the beach in Strathmore, NJ. This is where she met the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, James. After a short courtship Suzanne married James Ronald Litton on January 2, 1952 in Elkton, MD. The two then settled in Houston, TX where they built their family having 6 children. The couple moved to Enid, OK in 1976 and remained there until November 2004 when they returned to the Houston area settling in Waterwood and later in Cleveland.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Carrie; parents, John and Marie; and sister, Nancy. She is survived by her husband, James; her 5 surviving children, Suzette Slaymaker and husband Kerry, Renee Litton, Colette Cain, Blake Litton, Sr. and wife Jackie, Kimberly Peck and husband Sean; 11 grandchildren, Melanie, Joshua, Stephen, Chloe, James, Blake Jr, Ryan, Kyle, Kira, Spencer, and Sawyer; 11 great grandchildren, Carlos, Aryan, Isabella, Hyda, Joshua Jr, Madison, Caleb, Skyla, Winter, Liberty, and Tennyson; 1 great great granddaughter, Samantha;
sisters, Joan Weeks, Pat Peel and Kay Zeller. Family was everything to “Mimi”. Her family was her greatest legacy. Her pride and joy.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Her Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
