She was born in Sulphur, Louisiana on October 14,1961 to Bucky and Alice Aucoin.
Tanya was a loving, caring and kind hearted woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make people smile, even in difficult times. Her laughter, gentle spirit and selfless nature will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Family was the center of her life, she loved spending time with her grandbabies. She devoted herself to those she loved and found joy in caring for others. Whether a comforting hug or a shared laugh she made everyone feel welcome. You could often find her jamming to her favorite 70’s rock music or enjoying the thrill of pulling the arm of a slot machine. She also loved sitting on her dock with a fishing pole in hand enjoying the peace and beauty of the lake. She especially loved it when there was someone else willing to bait the hook and of course remove the fish when the catching was done. Her job was to cast, relax and enjoy the company. Her love was unconditional and the memories created with her will be treasured forever.
Tanya is survived by her husband of 32 years, Joe Swindoll. Her daughter Lauren Salazar and husband Josh, son Joe Daniel Swindoll and wife Brittney.
