Teddy Waddell

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Teddy Dean Waddell, who passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on January 15, 1957, in Greeneville, Tennessee, Teddy lived a life defined by hard work, adventure, and an unwavering love for his family. He was a man of integrity, determination, and generosity who never met a stranger. Whether at work, on the road, or at home with his family, Teddy left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

For 45 years, Teddy worked as a rig welder, a profession he truly loved. Welding wasn’t just his career—it was his passion. His work took him across the United States and around the world, allowing him to see places many only dream of. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, his strong work ethic, and the life he built through dedication and perseverance.

Outside of work, Teddy’s greatest passions were motorcycles and race cars. He loved the freedom of the open road and the excitement that came with powerful engines. Riding motorcycles with his family created some of their most treasured memories. Those rides weren’t just about the destination—they were about spending time together, laughing, making memories, and enjoying the journey. His love for motorcycles and racing became a part of his family’s story and is a legacy that will continue for generations.

Above all else, Teddy loved his family. He was the devoted husband of Stacy Elliston; the proud father of Keith Brown and his wife, Tarah, Justin Johnson and his wife, Kristi, and Vanessa Waddell and her husband, Ryan. He was a loving and proud grandfather to Journey, Savanna, River, Chance, Easton, Ethan, Lily, Taryn, and Jacob. He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Teddy fought cancer with remarkable courage, strength, and determination. Even during the hardest days, his love for his family never wavered. He faced every challenge with resilience and was surrounded by those who loved him until his final moments.

Although our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the time we shared with him. Teddy leaves behind a legacy of hard work, unwavering love, adventure, and unforgettable memories. He taught us to work hard, love deeply, and appreciate every mile of life’s journey. His family will forever cherish every ride, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment they were blessed to share with him.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every motorcycle ride, every roaring engine, and every memory shared by those who loved him. His love will continue to guide us, and his legacy will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, US, on July 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Teddy's life beginning at 2:30 pm. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
