 I hope you had a wonderful birthday with Sweet Gram, Poppa, and Uncle Jim....hope Sweet Gram made you some pig in the blankets....
I'm getting ready for my Italy trip, and I will take a lot of pictures for you.... Lisa wants me to take you along with a picture...
I know we sure do miss you..I keep waiting for it to get easier...but it sure isn't yet...We all miss you so very much, more than I ever thought possible...I'm so sorry I didn't come see you more often..,it just hurts so very badly... I'm sorry Dad...

How blest I am for having Tom and Pat as my dear friends for many years. Tom was such a gentle gentleman and he will be greatly missed. You all will be in my prayers as you work through your grief.

Having been neighbors of Pat and Tom for over 50 years, my heart is filled with wonderful memories. We raised our children together and have spent many hours having fun together. You became family to me, not just a neighbor and friend. I will always cherish the sweet memories of Tom. I will keep you in my prayers.

I don't recall a single visit to Pasadena that didn't include a quick trip across the street to see Pat and Tom.  Such a wonderful example of teamwork in a marriage.  I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers at this difficult time.

 It was of privilege and honor to have known Tom and family. (I still think of those 'dumb cows' on the way up to Lake Rayburn.)

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss.  I didn't know your Dad, but he raised a wonderful son in you Paul, who I've know for some time through bowling..  Both you,you wife Terri and son Chris are in my thoughts and prayers.  May your Father rest in peace and God Bless.....

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. You and Mrs. Sweet are truly wonderful people, and great parents and grandparents. I know you will be missed by all who have known you.

I will never find the words to express the sadness and loss we face.  'Uncle' Tom was the best.. Ron and I thought he could do anything and everything; we truly admired him.  There are so many memories we have, as so many do.  At this time, I will try to focus on one.  
He loved his woodwork.. and it always showed in the finished product.  Pat and Tom often found old torn up, worn out pieces of furniture tossed out for garbage... no longer useful or functional.  With skill only Tom had, and the help of his constant companion and love of his life, Pat, he would slowly tear into, strip down, rebuild and refinish a piece of furniture to become a functional work of art.  The finished product looked brand new, as if bought off of a furniture showroom floor.  It was once again functional, and useful; It was like new.  
The Lord called Tom home the day before yesterday;  his heart was no longer useful for him;  it was not functional. Because of this, our hearts are now broken and we feel a huge loss and emptiness.  We don't like what we have experienced.  We all shed tears of sorrow. But, because we all share the same faith in the Lord, as Tom did, we can take comfort in knowing his body has been 'renewed and restored.. like new' by God's hand and is now in the Kingdom of Heaven.  Ron and I will continue to miss Tom terribly, as so many will. We will have to wait for our broken hearts to be healed.  That will take some time... but it will come.  
Please rest and take comfort in knowing Tom now has a new body, perfect in every way;  He is now 'like new'.  
Pat and family~ we love you and will continue to pray for each of you.  We are so sorry and share your loss.  There will always be only ONE 'Uncle Tom', a true legend to us.

You will be missed, I will cherish the memories, You and your family are in my prayers.

You will b missed.  As a great father, you have t legacy of children who must have given you great joy.  As I only know you through the eyes of your daughter,terrrie; she has shared many stories of you and is proud of her dad.  She was blessed to have u n her life and u will always be in her heart.   Our prayers are with your family.
