Vivian Ann Fincher Webb, 84, of Hungerford, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2025. She was born in Livingston, Texas, and grew up in Pasadena, where she graduated from Pasadena High School. During her senior year, she was honored as Miss PHS and was active in many school activities—serving as President of the Girls’ Recreation Association, Editor of the Pasadenian staff, and a proud member of the A Cappella Choir.
Vivian married her childhood sweetheart, David Webb, and this year they joyfully celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary—a true testament to a lifetime of love and devotion. She followed David to Lamar University, where they began their family, always supporting him as he played football. Vivian had a gift for cheering on everyone she loved, and throughout her life, she made sure her family and friends felt encouraged and celebrated in all their activities.
Her career began teaching Driver’s Education at Sam Rayburn High School, and later she worked as a teacher’s assistant in Kerrville. While living in Conroe, she concluded her professional journey at Mitchell Energy, serving in Public Affairs and Investor Relations. Even in retirement, Vivian stayed active, sharing her love of antiques and treasure hunting at The Shop Around the Corner in Richmond.
Vivian’s friends and family will remember her bright smile, infectious laughter, and generous heart. She loved cooking, and Thanksgiving was always the highlight of the year. She was famous for her dressing and pies, bringing family and friends together around the table for a celebration full of love, laughter, and warmth. She adored sports, cheering for the Astros, the Texas Longhorns, University of Houston athletics, and all of her grandchildren’s games and races, from volleyball and football to Rusty’s 5Ks & FFA. She was an awesome grandmother, always present, supportive, and full of love for Chloe, Cooper, Tyson, Rusty, and Sophia.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David Webb; her children, Max Webb (wife Angel), Mark Webb, and Shannon York (husband BJ); her grandchildren, Chloe, Cooper, Tyson, Rusty, and Sophia.
She is survived by her sister, Nelda Teague (preceded in death by her husband, Sam); her sister, Candy Poirier (husband Greg); her brother, Edward “Bubba” Fincher (wife Jenny); and her brother, Joey Fincher (wife Patricia) and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Fannie Belle Fincher.
Vivian, lovingly known as “ReRe,” will be remembered as the life of every gathering, a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, and the heart of her family. Her warmth, humor, and spirit will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Grandview Funeral Home.
In place of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory with a donation to Pediatric View, providing support to families through the Program Director’s discretion.
