William Edward King Jr.

William graduated from Auburn, Mississippi High School and later served in the US Army during WWII as a Staff Sergeant in the 101st Airborne 1942-1945, and he retired from Shell Oil Company as a pipefitter.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Reeves King; son-in-law, Eldon Kingston; parents, William and Mattie King; brothers, Donald King and Roger King; sisters, Grace Calcote, Eileen Holloman and Ruth Hafner.

William is survived by his daughters, Billie Pruitt and husband Woody of Pennington, Texas, Susan Kingston of Friendswood, Texas; grandchildren, Kellye Hollins, James Pruitt, Shannon Kingston, Elizabeth Creel, Teresa Ginn, Michael Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Ashlye Hollins, Emilye Hollins, Emmaleigh Pruitt, Caroline Creel, Silas Creel, Amanda Beesley, Christina Pruitt, Whitney Perez, Mikayla Pruitt; great-great-grandchildren, Maren Beesley, Morgan Holdren, Laurel Beesley, Gabriel Perez, Bowen Beesley and Zoey Perez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas 77505.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 12 Noon at Grand View Funeral Home.
